PRESSOK ENTERTAINMENT’S FINGER PHYSICS SELECTED AS A FINALIST IN THE BEST IPHONE APP CATEGORY FOR THE GETJAR “GETTIE AWARDS 2010”
Seattle, Washington – July 6, 2010 — PressOK Entertainment today announced that its Finger Physics application has been selected as a finalist within the “Best iPhone Application” category for The Gettie Awards 2010, the mobile app world’s equivalent of the Oscars hosted by GetJar. The Gettie Awards will honor the successes and innovations of the best application developers across all major platforms from around the world. Developers will have an opportunity to showcase their work in front of industry luminaries, investors, technology press and peers at this prestigious event.
Finger Physics started as a side project that has launched into an App Store sensation. Since its launch in September 2009, Finger Physics has been downloaded more than 3.3 million times and was #1 overall on the App Store in December 2009. Since then, PressOK Entertainment has delivered additional levels every month for free, giving the $.99 game tremendous value.
The game offers a variety of brain teasing levels and modes that include floating blocks, exploding magnets, egg dropping and shape balancing. The difficulty in gameplay varies, making some levels easy enough to enjoy and others sheer agony as players wrack their brain trying to solve each puzzle. This combination of difficulty and strategy is what makes Finger Physics so appealing and addicting to gamers of all levels.

This year, The Gettie Awards will take place in conjunction with the first evening of VentureBeat’s annual MobileBeat conference scheduled for July 12, 2010, 7 PM at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, California. The Gettie Awards had an overwhelming 7,000 nominations from more than 100 countries. Seven total awards will be presented to the winners within the following categories:
• Best Android application
• Best Blackberry application
• Best iPhone application
• Best Java application
• Best Symbian application
• Best Windows Mobile application
• The Gettie Award for best overall application
Winners from each category will be determined by review of the actual physical applications by a panel of five judges including prominent industry heavyweights, press and analysts. The Gettie Award winner will be determined by nominations and the panel of judges. Developers get the chance to be the best within each category and best for overall application at this prestigious event.
